Round 2 Begins December 1st
We made it into the second round of the Aviva Community Challenge by receiving enough votes to get into the top 20. During the 2nd round, the top 60 vote getters (the top 20 from each of the preliminary rounds) will square off in a second vote. To qualify for the final round we need to be in the top 25 of vote getters.
What can you do? You can all help us by voting on line in the AVIVA Community Fund grant challenge. Voting for round 2 begins Dec 1st. You can also help by getting friends, family and co-workers to vote every day. We anticiapte needing approximately 1000 votes each day during the 2nd round.

You can see our entry and begin the voting process. If you look at the top right of that page, click on “Register”. This will set you up to vote each day. Then go back to the first page and vote by clicking “Cast Your Vote?”
It is possible for the school to raise as much as $100,000 for this project and all you need to do is take a few moments each day to vote. Once you have registered and voted once, just bookmark this page and you can vote each day in seconds. If you have more than one E-mail address, you can vote once for each address as well. There are three rounds of votes. The first round is in progress and voting is currently underway. The top 20 vote getters will move on to phase 2. Those not accepted in this round have two more chances, from November 1 to 15 and then November 16 to 29. Get your friends and family voting as well. The more votes, the better our chances. Keep voting ever\y day until the end of November. Then, with luck, we will move on to the next round.

Kleenex and hand sanitizers are being delivered to classrooms throughout the school board during the month of October. Experts agree that the H1N1 flu is coming but the impact of schools can be minimized if we all work together. Some tips for fighting the flu include... 1. Proper handwashing. 2. Coughing into your elbow. 3. Communication with home and school. www.bchu.org/content/view/1625/974/ www.bchu.org/content/view/1626/975/![]()
