We answer your comments/concerns.
We have had some feedback through the website So thanks. Updated: February 10, 2009 We have had cudos given for our new initiatives to utilize technology. Thanks, we do feel that communication between home and school is essential. We hope that this website and our plans to reach out through email will help foster better communication. Another comment speaks to our purchasing new equipment for student learning. We have spent a sizable amount on learning materials. Our first influx was in literacy materials. We are currently in the process of purchasing hands on materials to help strengthen math concepts. We look forward to the opportunities this will give to our students. The next comment is a direct quote: "My one pet peeve is you talk about arrival and departure why are these kids not walking to school there should be no cars alongside the school dropping off or picking up because it's so dangerous for the kids . . . I just hope that same kid doesn't get hurt before it to late keep putting in the newletter about picking up kids and maybe some day it will sink in." Thanks for these comments, you are right the more crowded the streets the more dangerous for our kids. Parents, please consider walking with your son or daughter to school. Another option we have is to create a walking school bus. Check out this website for more info: www.walkingschoolbus.org. If you are interested in helping organize this, please contact Mr. Smith by phone or email him at:p-kgs@granderie.ca. Thanks for the great feedback, please keep it coming! |
